Located between Montreal and Toronto, Raymond EMI Consulting provides engineered solutions for the control of RF radiation. We specializes in the design and application of radio frequency shielding and absorbing materials for military, government, high tech, medical and industrial applications. We pride ourselves on being an industry leader in design performance and innovation while providing unmatched client care and support throughout the design and commissioning process.
Our services are required to plan and design solutions to address RF radiation for security requirements, RF measurements as well as entire Buildings.
Our technology comes under the direction of our Chief Engineer, Tyler Ratzlaff, P.Eng, with over 25 years of EMI Engineering experience.
After completing his degree in mechanical engineering, Tyler began his engineering career as a research engineer with an energy conservation consultant. Between 1986 and 1990, he applied his skills to the study of materials and the development of analytical software.
In 1991, Tyler joined Rayproof Canada as the Operations Manager, responsible for the RF shielding plant located in Smiths Falls, Ontario. During 1992 and 1993 Tyler gained an in-depth knowledge of RF shielding and Anechoic Engineering through working with the Engineering group at Ray Proof North America. In 1994 Tyler purchased Rayproof Canada from its American owners and changed the name of Rayproof Canada to Raymond EMC.
While at Raymond EMC, Tyler was responsible for the engineering and design of all Raymond EMC products and services, he directed the design, product development and oversaw all testing and certification, including:
- QuietChamber – RF Anechoic Chambers
- QuietDoor – RF Shielded Door
- QuietShield – Modular and welded RF Shielded Enclosures
- All RF Testing – Shielding Effectiveness, Insertion Loss, EMC Emissions, Radiated VSWR, Field Uniformity, Site Survey
- Acoustic Sound Proof testing and procedures
- RF Engineering Services
In 2012, Tyler separated Raymond RF from Raymond EMC and sold Raymond EMC, to better focus on the engineering and product development of:
- QuietChamber – Antenna Measurement Chambers
- QuietBox AVS – Portable Antenna Measurement Chambers
- QuietBox – Table top shielded enclosure
- Antenna Positioners – automated antenna pattern measurement system
- Antenna Measurement Software
- Modeling Software for Custom Anechoic Chambers
- MultiBase Modular Control and RF Instrumentation
- RF Survey Measurement Software
- SpiraTable – Turntable for EMC testing
- M4000 – Automated EMC Antenna Mast
- EMC-Cam EMC Video Camera
- RF Engineering Services
